What are the categories of mud tank agitators
According to factors such as the motor connection method of the reducer, the structure of the impeller, the stirring medium and the use situation, the mud agitator can be classified, and different types of agitators have different types. According to the connection method of the reducer, it can be divided into turbine worm type and helical gear type. According to the structure of the impeller, it can be divided into flat blade type, folding blade type and spiral blade type mud mixer. According to the flow rate of the mixer, it can be divided into axial flow, radial flow and mixed flow mud mixer, low viscosity flow and high viscosity flow mud mixer. So let's take a closer look at the three types of mud tank agitators according to the following fluid flow directions: turbine type, screw type and paddle type.
1. Turbine mud tank agitators.
Turbine mud mixer is an important and commonly used main type of mixer in the management of drilling fluid mixing. It can effectively complete almost all stirring technical operations, and can deal with fluids with working viscosity and a wide range of influences in time. It is a mixer for low viscosity fluids. The structure of turbine agitator can be divided into two types: open type and disc type. The open type includes straight leaves, oblique leaves, curved leaves, etc., and the disc type includes disc straight leaves, disc inclined leaves, and disc curved leaves. The number of blades commonly used in open turbines is 2 and 4, and the number of discs is common with 6. The turbine agitator has a large shear force, which can make the computational fluid micelles dispersed very finely, and is suitable for mixing, liquid-liquid dispersion, and liquid-solid suspension of low-viscosity to medium-viscosity fluids. The straight blade has a large shear damage effect, and it is a shear type agitator. Curved blade means that the blade can be bent in the direction of social flow development, which can reduce the power consumption of the system, and is suitable for continuous stirring of some fluids containing fragile solid particles.
2. Spiral mud tank agitators.
A standard helical agitator has three blades equal to the blade diameter d. The turbulence of the fluid is not high, but the structure of the large circulating propelling agitator is easy to manufacture. It is often used for low viscosity fluids, suitable for low viscosity and large flow rate, and the good shearing effect is not large, so it belongs to the circulating agitator.
3. Paddle mud tank agitators.
The blade is made of flat steel and fixed on the hub by welding or bolts. The number of blades is 2, 3 or 4. The blade form can be divided into two types: straight blade type and hinge type. The paddle agitator is mainly used for the circulation of the fluid. Since the power consumption of the hinged agitator is smaller than that of the flat agitator under the same displacement, more axial flow blades are used. The so-called axial flow blade means that the main discharge direction of the blade is parallel to the stirring shaft. Paddle agitators can also be used to agitate high viscosity fluids and facilitate up and down exchange of fluids instead of expensive belt impellers.
In addition to the above three types of mud tank agitators such as turbine type, screw type and paddle type, there are also many types of mud agitators. Currently, the most commonly used mud agitators for oilfield drilling solid control mud agitators are turbine worms.
