The world's first floating nuclear power plant will be delivered in 2019
Recently, in Russia's St. Petersburg, Russia, the first floating nuclear power plant "Romonosov", which contains two nuclear reactors, was pulled by tugboats from its construction site in St. Petersburg.
As the world’s first floating nuclear power plant, “Romonetsov” will be towed to the Arctic harbor Pervek in the summer of 2019 and will be delivered for use after loading nuclear fuel.
The Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation stated that the nuclear reactor produces enough electricity for towns of 100,000 people.
