The mud agitator is often used on mud tanks in mud recovery and purification systems, and it is also used on mud tanks in trenchless mud purification systems. However, if the mud agitator is used for a long time, it will cause malfunctions. Since the on-site users do not have professional knowledge of mud agitator maintenance, the solution to the mud agitator failure is very important.

Fault one: oil leakage of mud agitator reducer.
       In addition to the cycloid differential used by the Vertical Agitator, most Horizontal Mud Agitators use worm gear reducers. Therefore, the temperature of the worm gear reducer in the work of the agitator will increase, which will cause the parts of the reducer to expand due to thermal expansion. The cold shrinkage is different, and the mating surface forms a gap. The lubricating oil of the reducer becomes thinner under the action of high temperature, causing leakage or lubrication failure. Therefore, the solution to the oil leakage of the reducer is to reasonably match the material of the worm gear to avoid excessive wear, and strictly follow the brand lubricant specified by the manufacturer. Another way is to choose to install a cooling device or lower the ambient temperature.
Fault 2: Worm gear of reducer is worn.
       Because the reducer adopts a worm gear reducer, the worm wheel uses tin bronze as the main material, and the worm adopts hard steel. Improper selection of the worm gear material will cause the worm gear to wear out too fast and reduce the life of the reducer worm wheel. Therefore, the selection of materials for manufacturers is very important.
Fault three: the mud agitator bearing is damaged.
       Worm bearing damage of mud agitator is mainly manifested as bearing rust, corrosion, etc. The main reason for this problem is insufficient lubrication of gears that decelerate inward, or lubrication failure caused by emulsification of gear oil. Therefore, it must be in accordance with the manufacturer's standard for the amount of oil added to the reducer.
